Sweet Sentiment

Good Morning
I am under orders to rest and have not been strong to enough to stay on line much but I had quite a lot of prep done for a few things and it seems a shame not to try and get these posted in time.

M&M
(Materials and Method)

Base card is an A4 ribbed craft card, stamped randomly with La Blanche swirl stamp, inked with Seedless Preserves distress ink. Folded to make an A5 landscape card.
I chose one of my favourite sentiment stamps from the Creative Expressions Dreamy Sentiments set. I use these sentiments a lot and this one in particular. I usually have a few ready as I know I will definitely be using them!
On this occasion the sentiment was heat embossed in Tanzanite then cut using Spellbinders Lacy Ovals. I threaded lilac organza ribbon through the eyelets and attached with mounting foam for dimension.

I tore some white vellum randomly and inked one piece with milled lavender distress ink, the other was inked with antique linen distress ink.
I tore Shakespeare’s Sonnet 18 from an A4 sheet and inked with antique linen distress ink.
The photograph, cigarette card floral pictures and mini postcard are all from stash and were inked, some in milled lavender, some in antique linen and layered with care to look careless!!

Affectionately,
Vee xx

  2. Hello, Janet I know and I am but I had a whole bunch of materials brought out including card cut to varous sizes and a pile of diecuts so I did not have to do any die cutting or anything too heavy. I am not moving too well so not much choice!! Thank you for coming to visit and commenting I appreciate it. Vee xx

  10. Hello Vee, hope you are feeling a bit better today. Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my blog. That photo is of Fish Hoek beach in Cape Town, South Africa and is where I grew up. I live in England now but go back for a month each year. I love "Sweet Sentiment". You have placed the images so well, the torn vellum is a great touch and the sentiment is lovely. Michelle x
