This scrapbook page is my Kanban Crafts Design Team submission for this week. The picture is of my son, Gordon and daughter in law, Lesley Ann cutting the cake at their wedding.
Method and Materials (M&M)
Kanban Crafts white 12” x 12” card 2 sheets
Kanban Crafts Paper from Cream Soda
pad PAD 00013
Kanban Crafts Sentiment from sheet PCT
1936
Spellbinders Grand Labels 11
Pink ink pad
Filigree butterfly
Seam Binding in Pink
Two heart shaped diamante buckles
I cut an aperture in the Cream Soda sheet using Grand Labels 11 to frame the photograph.
I cut two lengths of seam binding and threaded through diamonte hearts. I wrapped the ribbon around the page and attached to back of sheet then covered the back with another layer of white card. I selected a filigree butterfly to embellish. I chose one of the lovely sentiments from the sentiment sheet and inked the edges and mounted on foam poad.
I always find that the biggest part of any of my scrapbook pages is the planning. It takes ages to decide how to display a photgraph, what papers and materials to use, what embellishments to use. Once the decisions have been made on materials and colour scheme the next part is how the elements will be displayed. To actually execute the design is usually quite straightforward.
Affectionately,
Vee xx
