Guest Designer at LEJ Designs Challenge Blog

I am delighted to say that this week I am a guest designer at

 LEJ Designs Challenge Blog

where this week's theme is
Challenge # 3

Lots of Layers.

I had pleasure working with one of Lndsay's own designs called

Little Red

I do hope you will have a look at ths fun challenge and join in.

Little Red
Materials and Method (M&M)
Digital Image “Little Red” from LEJ Designs
Promarker Pens
A4 teal card 2 sheets
A4 true black card 2 sheets
A5 velvet in forest green
Piece of velvet in black
A4 white digital and inking card
Spellbinders Grand Ovals
Small images of cottage and woods
Some autumn foiled leaves
Sealing Wax and seal
Gold tone mica powder
Picket Fence Distress Ink
Brilliance Moonlight White Ink
Small piece of grosgrain ribbon
Printed papers from old dictionary
Small piece of black mirri card embossed
Little metal saw brad

The theme is lots of layers so I used five layers on base card:
two teal card
two black card
one velvet .
I cut reducing apertures in the card using
Spellbinders Grand Ovals and also used one of the oval die cuts as a layer.

I printed two images of Little Red, each about aprox. 6” x 4”
I coloured her with promarker pens and cut the head (hated to do it!!) and basket from one image and used them to decoupage the main image which I had cut out. She is mounted with foam pads to sit proud from the card.
I layered the small image of the cottage over the small image of the woods.
Both these images were cut, inked, distressed and inked over with picket fence ink.
I used some autumnal leaves and cut, distressed, inked and inked over with picket fence ink.
I cut the printed pages and inked and bound them into small book with gold tone wire.
I made one small seal and attached to “book” and made one larger seal as a separate embellishment. While I was melting the sealing wax I added some mica powder.
Little wolf is in a mixture of moonlight white ink and picket fence ink onto black velvet.

Affectionately,

Vee xx

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
