Altered Steam Punk Project

My eye was caught by this Easter egg box last year when I liked the shape and knew I wanted to use it for something so, only a year later ;)  this week I am sharing it on the
 Smeared and Smudged Forum
where the guest spot is hosted by the talented Mark.
However it is just for fun there as I already entered yesterday.

Raw Box
(the heart post-its are to cover the brand)  Then after initial painting.

Materials used:
Easter egg box, acrylic paints, smeared ink stamps from their rubber stamp club, Ranger perfect pearls some dry and some mixed with water for mini mister spray, pan pastels, corrugated cardboard, brilliance crimson copper ink pad, Tim Holtz sizzix dies - gadget gears and bird with cage (only used bird and altered it), spellbinders frame die (altered and used as doors), Tim Holtz brads, Creative Expressions brads, metallic card. TH sanding tool, Last, but not least, is the little clock face I got from Tim Holtz salvage stickers and mounted on a die cut gear.
