Monochromatic Triptych

Good Day
I cannot believe I was unable to blog for months and now two posts in two days!!
This is my entry for the

where the challenge is Tic Tac Poe
(the grid below is copyright of the QTR blog.)

I have used Raven, Poe, Lace
Vertical line, right hand side.

Materials:
white silk art card
 Smeared Ink rubber stamps
black detail embossing powder
Versamark embossing ink pad
Sizzix Tim Holtz on the edge twigs die
Spellbinders Arch dies
Lace from Funkie Junkie Boutique

Method:
I cut three panels using white silk art card cut into arches using the spellbinders arch. I stamped images using the Quoth The Raven set of rubber stamps from
Smeared Ink using Versamark and heat embossed using black detail powder. I joined the panels and attached branches using the Tim Holtz sizzix on the edge twigs die, cut to fit. I made holes and tied real lace for
Poe's cravat. I would normally have used distress inks to colour with the embossed images providing a resist but this time I liked the effect of the black heat embossing against the silk art and the images are so detailed I liked it just the way it is!

  3. Fantastic Vee, love how you put it all together, it sounds so complicated and the end result is fabulous! The birds look menacing and so appropriate for this creation. The shape reminds me of tombstones which adds to the whole effect. Love it!
