Good Morning Everyone
I made this little ATC to enter into the challenge at
where the theme is
Travel
I have always been fascinated by the life of Amelia Earhart
and rather a long time ago when got this little
vintage airplane stamp she was one of the things
I thought about.
This week I was reminded by google that it was the 115th anniversary
of her birth. She has always seemed like a modern woman
and 115 years seemed such a long way away but I checked on
her official website (link above) and it is so. She has bridged the gap
been the nineteenth and twenty first centuries so that is
another record.
There has been an enduring mystery around her last flight
and some new information may be coming to the
surface after some artifacts were found recently.
I leave you with the mystery and hope you enjoy finding out.
This ATC I covered with a little paper map and distressed
rather harshly and inked the edges with black soot ink.
I stamped the little 'plane in versamark hazel
and drew out some of the colour with a waterbrush.
I added some picket fence distress ink to
highlight areas.
I wrote "Amelia" and highlighted with white picket fence.
I added some black ribbon across opposite corners
to finish. The ribbon looks askew (great word)
but it actually looks okay so I think perhaps
I was askew when I took the pic!
Affectionately,
Vee xx
