I am very excited today as it is the launch of a fab new challenge blog and we really hope you will play along with us.

You can enter with either an alternative project for which it is always "anything goes" or a more mainstream project using the set theme. Any kind of craft project is allowed.
I am sharing an 8"x8" card with you today using an image
Raven
very kindly provided by this week's sponsor:
Floppy Latte
the image onto acetate, cut with a spellbinders circle
from the grand circles set and layered with a sheet of imitation gold leaf. (Hold breath while doing this!)
The card blank is made from true black card from stash
and I layered with coredinations torn from
from a sheet of black magic 12 x 12, embossed
with a cogs mask and sanded back.
The embellishments are metallic card cut from the Tim Holtz
Sizzix die, Gadget Gears, and I aged these by
sanding and inking, added two metal cogs
also by Tim Holtz and one of his brads.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful steampunk card Vee, love how the bird is surrounded by the glow of the moon, I can practically see the branches moving in the wind! I seem to quite like steampunk, not sure why but I even bought a long pair of dangly steampunk earrings which I wear quite often:O)
