Share the Love Competition

Good Morning
I have been fortunate this week and have also been fortunate in having so many lovely talented people inspiring me with their work, giving me goals with their challenges, visiting my baby blog, taking the time to leave the most amazing comments, and even following.
So how a bit of fun?
I am posting a couple of photographs of something and I want you  to guess what it is. If only one or two people get it right I will send a prize of ribbon or stamps or something else crafty and useful. If lots of of people guess right then I will select someone at random and just have one winner. If this sounds like fun then all you have to do is make your suggestion by commenting on this post. You must be a follower to enter as the lovely people who have joined me deserve first shout. (Of course you can follow and then enter!) I will check this post on Sunday 11th of March and announce winner or winners on Monday 12th of March.
If no one gets the answer I will post the answer and draw someone at random.
Have fun! Vee xx
So here are the photographs:

  1. Hi Vee ...well !!
its in front of a light of some sort, but I think its a piece of card which has been crumpled and scrunched up , then laid out and washed over with a distress ink , crumpled again and inked all over again then when its laid out flat it looks like this !
Hugs Elaine ( still pondering )

  2. Vee mmmmmmmmmmmm pondering what this could be? Here is my guess!!!! I would say that it is parchment/vellum which has been distressed then scrunched and then while scrunched gone over again with distress ink to get the creases a darker shade which would then when laid out flat would highlight the creases.

What ever it is it looks wonderful :)

    Hugs

    1. Dear Janet, I am glad you are going to join in the fun! Thank you for your congratulations - I just felt amazed and so happy. Mostly I started the challenges as a way to keep me motivated by having a topic to work towards. I mean when I make cards for family or a cause it is better. So the topics of challenges give me goals but to actually win one here and one at Creative Expressions in one week is like a dream - it had not entered my head. The thing that means the most since I joined (and it has not been very long) is how people take the time to come and look what I have made and when they like something it really touches me. Sorry this is so long! Very many good wishes on your wins, Janet. xx

  7. Vee, lovely to meet you and will look forward to seeing your creations. It's nice to find someone else that makes cards for charity. I am wondering if this is scrunched up glassine paper which has then been inked to show up all the cracks. Hope you don't mind me having a go. Best wishes, Kym xxx

  10. Hi Vee, I think it might be Mulberry paper, held in front of a light :) Thanks for the fun x

  11. Hi Vee, I cannot think of anything else but paper that has been scrunched up, opened up, painted with distressed inks or paints and held up to a lamp. I know this has been suggested but was the first thing I thought of before I saw other's answers!!!. Can't wait to find out what it is lol!!!. Good fun. Hugs Clare xxx

  12. Hi Vee......mmmmmmmm....I would say...if it's NOT got anything to do with craft then it looks like a leaf held over a light box or lamp lol. Know it sounds odd but no harm in guessing. Fab work you've done.
    Take care

  13. Ok still can't really make up my mind and I am not entirely happy with my guesses but if I don't do it now I will probably forget so I am going with either something made from tortoise shell or possibly something with leaves on it, although I still feel like I am forgetting something really obvious that I should know, will probably want to kick myself when you tell us what it is lol
