Materials and Method
Tiger Image from Joanna Sheen’s Jayne Netley Mayhew Collection CD part 2
Glassine paper
Teal card
Distress Inks – Green and orange tones
Distress stickles – moss green
Spellbinders Foliage Die
Spellbinders Grand labels Four
Spellbinders labels Twenty
Spellbinders labels Twenty
William Blake Quotation
Printed out CD – did not have to do too much I just selected single image rather than the decoupage, removed the frame and resized.
I cut out apertures from Teal card using Grand labels four (two of the larger dies).and layered them onto the image to provide an inward frame.
Typed and printed the quotation, cut using small die from labels twenty, inked it a little using walnut stain and mounted on foam pads to sit proud from frame.
I distressed some glassine paper and inked it with green and orange tones of distress inks(Iused lots of different ones). Cut it using the foliage die and made loads to frame the whole image but the image is so lovely (as is all Jayne Netley Mayhew’s artwork) that I decided on stringing only a few of one size just for accent and texture, spread a little of the distress stickles randomly over the leaf surfaces with finger. (Essential crafting tool)!
That was more or less that but I had a Goldilocks Day with the photograph: it was too dark it was too light; too shiny or too dull; too sharp or too blurry but unlike G I did not get it just right but went with a couple of pics I hope will suffice.
Thank you for taking the time to visit, it would be great if you left a comment and I could return the visit. Vee xx
