Live The Dream Hanging

Hello, well if anyone said a couple of weeks ago I would be blogging again I would not have believed them!
I came back a week ago today after several months off and everyone has been so kind and welcoming that I feel I have hardly been away at all. (Apart from having to relearn blogger!!)
So a big huge thanks to you all as I appreciate it more than I can say. (Now I will have that Leo Sayer song in my head all day! How long ago was that?)
 I made a little hanging.
I used mount board "5 and a bit" inches square and painted it with adirondack cloudy blue dabber. I usually use acrylic paint base but on Hels show on Create and Craft tv yesterday  I liked the matte effect so I went back to the drawing board last night (well the hanging!). On top of the blue I stamped Wendy Vecchi's text stamp in Archival Sepia. On the corners I used a floral corner stencil but instead of texture paste I dabbed cool peri adirondack dabber. I then stamped around the four sides with Wendi Vecchi "Live Your Dream" stamp in black archival. I used a little wooden artemio tree which I lightly rubbed with lilac wax and hazelnut adirondack. I added two of Wendy Vecchi's art part flowers which I rubbed with brilliance blue ink and a versamark blue ink. The bigger flower was made with scrap paper cut with a spellbinders die and dipped into clear embossing powder in the melt pot.
All the while I was making this I kept wishing I had not already used the WV art parts bee on another project earlier so I stamped a little bee from the Tim Holtz tiny things set using sepia. I finished off by making the hanger from grosgrain light blue ribbon together with hairy string threaded through punched holes I had made before I started using the crop a dile and blue eyelets.
All The Best,
Vee xx
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Hels Sheridan   - Make a Hanging
(I used layers of paint, ink etc)
The Crafting Cafe - Altered Art
Simon Says Stamp - Stamp on Anything except plain paper (I stamped onto mount board.)
